Oh my gods, Zach and his glasses-- truly something to behold!! They prosbably don't let him wear them because he's TOO dashing that way. But now that Matt's all grows up, it would be more fitting. Daniel is another who looks even more The GQ Stud in his lenses. But obviously, a vampire's got beyond perfect sight.
shareIan needs to shut up, he's an idiot and clearly does pay any attention to canon.
sharelol it's better than the double wedding that's probably going to happen.
shareYes, double *cringe* to That. For sure SOMEBODY's wedding is going to be a consideration, because one of the walk-on roles to be cast is "wedding shop clerk." Yeah, please, let's waste precious time on this. You know, because two vampires getting married is ever-so meaningful. They can't give birth, shouldn't adopt (anyone but baby/kid vamps), have access to endless free money, don't use health care and "forever is a very long time," as pointed out by one Ms. Katherine Pierce. So, if they Do produce any vamp on vamp nuptials, it's solely for the squeals of the tween-teen viewership....and a sprinkling of VERY lonely, unromanced middle-aged cat ladies.
shareMaybe Alaric marries his Nanny, why else would they cast her?

As much I desperately want eternal happiness (and some peace of mind!) for our beloved Ric, don't you think that would be redundant? I feel like even if he finds "the one," the last thing he would do is rush to the alter. I'm pretty sure he'd have PTSD for LIFE after the last romp down the aisle. And lord knows that he is cognizant of his luck in love. It's also never not attracted supernatural horrors, and he's a daddy now. Granted his kids could likely be a better body guard than Him, but that's a whole other story.
The nanny is supposedly both magnificent and also the subject of a "who is she reallllly," with Caroline Nancy Drewing the case. With only 16 42 min eps., I'm praying that they use the time as well as is humanely/supernaturally possible. Any new characters better effin' SERVE their purpose and not take a second away from the OG's, beyond what it utterly fascinating. HOPEFULLY, with Kevin back to repel any of that stale-fart-in-a-car smell left by Caroline Dries on the scripts, there's a fighting chance for a solid finish. Matt's dad finally coming to town should be interesting. I ADORE Joel Gretch, the actor playing him. he's been in several of my favorite sci-fi/fantasy shows, like The 4400, V and Witches of Eastwick :-)
Zach Roerig, so gottdamn charming. That's really all I can focus on.
