do you think we will ever get another vampire diaries spin off we have the originals so why not i would like to see spin off base around Bonnie and her family sort of like prequel where it all begin when there ancestors was alive

Bonnie is a character who's importance has been dismissed since the early days of the show and has gotten worse over time. She had probably the most interesting storyline in season 6 with the prison world and it got pushed to the bs kfroindcin favour of pointless Delena drama. I doubt JP would ever allow her to shine in her own show and I very, very much doubt Kat wants to continue playing Bonnie.
Not to mention JP and CD have murderee their own mythology regarding witches and magic on TVD and TO that any witch spin-off would be a mess from the very beginning.
As Caroline had ever so slightly put it in one episode, the vampire craze is most likely over.
You have to remember, when this show was fairly new, there was major hype surrounding Twilight (2008) at the time. That's why shows like this and True Blood (2008) were produced. Now, not so much anymore.
I think it's time to give The Originals (2013) a chance to shine. Sure, they can have characters from this show make cameo appearances, but that's probably the best you'll receive.
I don't agree with the idea about a Bonnie spinoff. TVD works best as an ensemble.
Remember Joey (2004)? That show tanked and ended after the second season. A Bonnie spinoff would probably suffer the same fate.
But, I do hope The Originals (2013) sticks around. It seems as though it might be coming to an end as well. I believe there's only supposed to be 13 episodes, and the fact that it's premiering in March isn't a good sign.
I suppose it's all up to Julie Plec and The CW whether they want to keep it around. If so, then at least we can see what's going on in the TVD universe every great once in a while.
