Caroline kills Stefan for coming for Alaric or the twins (nuking Steroline and freeing up Stefan to bust out to NOLA after TVD)
Very possible but how will that free Stefan for NOLA if he is dead?
I have not watched for a while but I seem to recall that Bonnie has to die for Elena to wake up so why cant it be Bonnie for Elena to come back?
All I can think about is that JP once said that TVD will have a bittersweet ending. Is it possible for Damon to sacrifice himself for his brother AFTER Elena wakes up and they get together? That would make it bittersweet ending which is also possible if Stefan dies AFTER Steroline are married OR with Bonnie's death...

Oh, whoever does die before this Cade story is over is definitley going to Hell and coming back. That's why Everyone is fair game. It could very well be Bonnie to wake up Elena. I didn't think about that.
There will probably be an official permanent death before TVD ends, and I honestly believe it'll be Enzo, Caroline, Matt, or a biiiigggg maybe for Damon. I see Stefan and Damon dying if Stefan does die. The opportunity to send him to NOLA to try and get a 5th season out of TO is almost too big to pass on, hell, they're already guaranteeing Alarics safety by promoting a Crossover. Damon and Elena's fates are tied to this show, so that's why I see Damon potentially dying without his brother, plus that's also something that could send Stefan to NOLA.

So you think Stefan will leave Caroline and move to NOLA if Damon dies? Why would he do that?
I am contemplating with the idea of Damon dying after everything and it sits well with everything that has gone with his life so far. That will be fit ending to the show since from what I am hearing he has not even achieved any development in his character. Maybe this last deed of his, his death preferably sacrifice for someone like Stefan, will prove that he has had development of character after all.
I dont see them killing Caroline for the same reason they will not kill Hayley. They both are mothers.

A few reasons I think he'd leave, 1. His brothers dead. He might be "too broken" to be with Caroline (or she's dead too) and he heads to NOLA to be The Ripper, playing opposite on the Klefan relationship, Klaus tries to instead keep The Ripper at bay.
Damon or Caroline dying could send Stefan there to try to find a way to resurrect them presuming they kill Cade. New Orleans is after all the melting pot of magic.
Stefan could go there after breaking up with Caroline after she kills him. Presuming he's the next death.
Hayley, Klaus etc. reach out of his help as a Dopplganger. That mythology is tied to hybrids, Hybirds-Hayley-Klaus-Hope.
There's a multitude of real story they could create. After last years crossover I definitley trust The Writers of TO with Stefan's character. He was infinitely more well rounded, and Paul put way more into it. I can see them killing Caroline because she hasn't died (like really died) and she's the most unexpected and most effective to every character.
