Why not have an Original as a servant

If you were looking for someone to replace you and you had to trick them into willingly doing it, why not play the mind games on the Originals, they are stronger and can compel vampires to compel humans, you could have a legion of Stefans and Damons. The heretics that have died must have ended up with Cade, so why not bring them back, and give them immortality, they are even stronger than the Originals, it just seemed like there were more powerful options than Damon and Stefan. Heck we know Cade has Katherine, and when it comes to mind games no one is better than Katherine Pierce, she was Survivor #1, she would have happily took that deal to stay alive. Now while I have no doubt she is Cade's 2nd in command, she would be much more effective, and entertaining, in the living dimension.
