The show's definition of evil is problematic

This past episode really highlighted how the rules for "evil" and going to Hell in this universe are pretty dumb. For example, killibg the one guy for Cade because he would have rather the other anonymous people die instead of him. Thats a reaction that 90 percent of the human population would also do if they didn't know anyone really well that was in danger.

Then, Sybil threatens Caroline saying that she will kill students if Caroline doesn't cooperate, but the death of the students would go on Caroline's "hell scorecard"? That's horrible logic. A parallel scenario would be a psychopath saying that if the girl he stalks wont submit, he will kill ger parents, and she'd get blamed for it and it would be on her "hell" scorecard. How can this season truly be about redemption if

If the rules prevent any person from really being good. The only evil debate that actually made sense was the doctor's because she willingly sort of corrupted herself to let someone she should have saved "die". But so many of the choices this season have been downright stupid, not evil.

It's laughable really. When you think even Damon balked at the fact that Stefan was cheating to get results lol, you know the morality on this show is screwed. It was all in character so I was not upset by any of it.

Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level then beat you with experience.

That's the point, Cade's definition is flawed as hell. He only created this "hell" out of vengeance.

I can understand the other things, and even Doctor doppelganger (once removed) because even though she was lied to she chose to kill him, but answering a hypothetical question is not evil. I didn't get that at all, it made no sense. I feel like some of these deaths are a plot device that they are going to use to negate some of the evil deeds of the main cast, as one last ditch attempt to keep them all out of hell. I think Cade might be mad about the therapist, and may not be able to claim him, and if he is able to feed of his soul, that's just whack.

Seriously, can Lizzie and Josie just drain Cade and let it be an Anchor's away situation already.
No Anchor- No other side
No Cade- No Hell dimension

Sidenote:Unless the witches did something else to the bell besides make it indestructible, wouldn't that amplified sound kill/strip them of their powers too, since they seem to share the same psychic field, and why would they help someone make something that would hurt them? Also wouldn't disrupting witch magic lead to the same consequence as when the Travelers disrupted their magic and everything remotely magical: vampires, spells, enchantments, and so forth, failed and ceased to exist?

The season isn't over yet and to be sure, I think most of he characters on the show have shown that they have a capacity for being good and "evil" if you will , with the exception of Cade.
If there's a hell there's also a heaven, it's just yet to be seen.
After the last ep., I think the point is that they have to believe that.
A little too religious for my taste but I get it.

We're all on our way out, act accordingly.

Labeling evil to fit the plot with minimal free will without cheating , or skewing the environment of the individual stinks. Tired of all the gloom with no comic relief. Story line is dragging.Get someone else to play Ninas part.Let's get the story flowing again please

I'm just laughing at the fact that we are in S8 and people are only questioning the problematic themes of this show. This show has been problematic since a 160yrs vampire stalked a human girl because she looked exactly like someone he loved 145 yrs before then engineered situations so he could "know her".
