The Original Necklace was Esther's Talisman The Original Necklace was lost during one of the Original Family's internal Struggle in S3.
Damon find another copy of the Necklace in the 1994 Prison World .
So does the Prison World Copy of the Necklace also belongs tot he Mikaelson Family .
The Spoiler said after the end of Vampire Diaries , and Alaric will crossover to The Originals and give something to Klaus .
Do you think they will return the Necklace to the Original Family .
The Necklace can summon Esther , it is possible Esther was sent to some other Dimension with her sister . The Original family could use the Necklace (Prison World Copy ) to find Esther again for help .
Maybe thats what Alaric is doing in New Orleans in episode 8 in the new season of the Originals. Dropping off the necklace to them and I know Caroline went there last season (7)in the time jumps looking for Klause and the time period on TVD is the same jump TO will make in season 4. Plus didnt Caroline just give the necklace to Damon so clearly Alaric knows where jt is looks like that has potential as a storyline.
Alaric is giving an ancient artifact to Elijah to help with an enemy they will be facing, possibly a Siren since a character with similarities to the Sirens shows up 1 episode prior. He's not giving them the necklace. They don't even want it. At least not Rebekah. And TVD TO will not be on same timeline. TO will take place about a year after TVD ends, 2 years after Caroline went to New Orleans.
obviously they come to same time line at some time in future otherwise how can Alaric travel to nOLA? Time travel sounds strange on this type of show LOL. The question is will the final two year time jump happen BEFORE Tvd ends or AFTER.
And it is an interesting thought bout the necklace. He could be going because of the necklace. It is an old artifact after all and since the shows are ending it is possible that they are tying up all lose ends.

There's not going to be a 2 year time jump in TVD, there will be a small one but not 2 years. by Time Alaric comes over, TVD would have been long done with. There will be no need for a time jump, Alaric will just be showing up in episode 8, that is all. Time will continue for TVD characters off screen.
He's not going because of the necklace. That makes zero sense. The necklace has no use to any of the Mikaelsons and would not be used to help them in anyway. The writers are not that desperate.
Obviously there is going to be time jump . Whether that is explicitly explained or not is a question. Other wise how do you explain alaric going to to in current time. Tvd keep going on btw does not explain how it will catch up to yo time period.

Tvd is ending after season 8 episode 16. Before TO even starts. There is no need for a time jump. TO could be 50 years into the future if they wanted to, all that means is wherever Alaric is at that time, he'll show up in New Orleans. Thinking there has to be a time jump just to put a character from a show that is finished on to a still running show is like saying "Friends" ended 12 years ago and Joey will appear on the next episode of "The Big Bang Theory". Doesn't mean there was a time jump of 12 years in "Friends". The only time a time jump is needed when a character crosses over is if one show is behind the other and BOTH shows are running at the same time, not where one is already finished. You thinking there has to be a time jump makes it seem as if you also believe that once 8x16 ends then all the characters are just going to freeze in time and not continue on with their lives. Which is just not true.
I dont see your logic. It makes sense to me that tvd time jumped two years after the show ended for alaric to make an appearance there. If it were different character ur logic would have made sense...
I think when alaric cones to Nola his daughters will be two years older than what they were when tvd ended provided tvd ends in present time and I think that is only possible with the time jump since to is starting after 5 years time jump, already 2 years ahead if time when tvd will end.

Yup, I'm with you. Alaric could show up at anytime (if he survives TVD). The only way TVD time jump would be necessary would be if the the two stories on TO and TVD required them to be in the same timeline ie if the story was connected.
Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level then beat you with experience.
TO season 3 ended in May 2014. Theres a 5 year time jump making it at least May 2019 when season 4 starts. Caroline went to New Orleans mid 2017. TVD time is currently early 2018.

If TO season 4 start in March 2017 , and a five yr jump from S3 , that would make Season 3 ended in 2012

TO season 3 ended (timeline wise) in May 2014. Season 4 starts 5 years later after May 2019.
The in show timeline is not the same as the air dates.
While season 4 premieres March 2017, in the show the timeline would be at least May 2019. Instead of the show usually being 2 years behind "out of show" time (like it was the first 3 seasons) it will now be 2 years ahead of us.
Example : TO season 1 - Premiered from 2013-2014 / in show timeline was 2011-2012 Season 2 - 2014-2015 / 2012-2013 Season 3 - 2015-2016 /2013-2014 Season 4 - 2017-2017 /2019-?
TVD season 1 - Season 3 - premiered 2009-2012 / in show was 2009-2010 Season 4 - 2012-2013 / 2010-2011 Season 5 - 2013-2014 /2011-2012 Season 6 - 2014-2015 / 2012-2013 Season 7 - 2015-2016 / 2013-2017 (3 year time jump from 2014 to 2017) Season 8 - 2016-2017 / 2017-2018
The in show timeline is not the same as the air dates
true , but the TV shows has difficulty jumping into the future of Real world time . That is why jumping past the real world time should be avoid . And it is easier To 's Previous season to set at an earlier time .
Jumping past the real world time , if something totally unexpected happen Today ,and it affects the entire world . It will ruin the show .
For example , Donald Trump got elected in 2016 , who knows how the will change . , If they starts building the Mexico boarder Wall tomorrow , and start a war with China next week .
By jumping into the 2018 and 2019 How would they write it into the Show if they start Season 4 at the fictional time of 2019?

What goes on in our world has nothing to do with what goes on in there's. In our world Trump could be president while in their world Will Smith could be president. Its not the same. Its like a show on Disney Channel, the in show president made appearances but it was a completely different president than the one in the real world.
We already know TO Season 4 Timeline is 5 years ahead of Season 3. And we know season 3 ended 2014. Since Hope had just turned 2 and she was born May 2012. We know she was born May 2012 because in show that was the end of season 1/season 5. Elena and Friends graduated High school 1 year earlier in 2011 and they were born mid 1992-early 1993. Caroline (born late 1992) celebrated her "18th" birthday in 3x11 in 2010 even though it was 2011 in our world.
The second half of season 7 till current time of TVD is set in future time. It's 1 year ahead. The twins were born in season 7 episode 13 in march 2014. They are almost 4 now. TO season 4 would only be 2 years ahead of us.
There are rumours of a time jump in tvd season 8 so there's a chance the two shows might sync before the season 8 finale. (Assuming, of course, season 8 doesn't do a 60-year-time jump to Elena's awakening).
