Please explain to me about this....
When Matt and his dad found the kids tied up to be burnt, y didn't they just take the burning stick from that one girl instead of trying to untie all the kids first???

shareThats TVD logic the same logic they used when matt abd elena crashed into the water at the end of season three. Elena was awake (just like her dad was), Stefan got the door open, so why didnt he just unbuckle her so she could swim out? Same exact thing applies to when stefan saved elena over her dad. All Stefan had left to do was rip the seatbelt away so they could swim to air but the writers clearly dont think much about logic or too deeply on those things especially when it comes to those details fitting into the storylines to move things along.
shareBecause understanding the difference between dramatic effect and Stupidity is one of the great faults of TVD sometimes.
shareBc she'd put on a fight an it would be child abuse?

It would seem like the logical solution would be to take the torch away from the compel girl, or knock her out . When Matt was compelled to fight Tyler so that Tyler would activate his werewolf curse, Caroline knock Matt out to stop it .

Or when Silas controlled Caroline to cut herself and Rebekah slapped the crap out of her. Lol
shareTo create unnecessary "tension" in the scene, because TVD only knows how to do that with insane plot devices, plotholes, or lack of logic.
I still can't believe Elena "died" because Stefan--a vampire with super strength, super reflexes, super speed--couldn't muster up the ability to save two people at once. Or idk, rapidly save them both in succession. Yet these ridiculous vampires are able to overpower the Originals or whatever 1000+ year old villain is on the show.
