THE RINGING OF THE BELL – Sybil (guest star Nathalie Kelley) enacts revenge on Damon (Ian Somerhalder) by putting him in a catatonic state. Caroline (Candice King) and Bonnie (Kat Graham) enter Damon’s mind and run into familiar faces from the past, only to discover Stefan (Paul Wesley) is the key to Damon’s fate. It’s a race against time for the bell as both Sybil and her sister Seline (Kristen Gutoskie) jockey for its control. Zach Roerig also stars. Kellie Cyrus directed the episode written by Brett Matthews (#810). Original airdate 1/27/2017.

Is it possible for Damon to sacrifice himself to save his brother and finally achieve the satisfaction and happiness/ peace of mind that he once believed he could only achieve if he got together with Elena?
Or will it be Stefan sacrificing himself for his brother?

I feel like Caroline and Bonnie might try to kill Stefan (he can't really die, they'd know that I think) to trigger Damons humanity.
shareyou mean luring him into something? Yeah I can see that happening. Damon seeing his bro dying "wakes" up and saves Stefan and in doing so he does something that is OOC about him

Yeah that's how I'm seeing it might play out, I read some strong rumours that BOTH brothers get their humanity back this episode because of eachother.

That will be great. I suspect getting his brother's happiness and mind right will make Damon happy too. Maybe seeing Stefan spiralling down will make him realize where his true happiness lie ?
JP once said that she does not like sad endings.. I am not sure how much that will/ is true but maybe both bros will get their happy endings after all but what is true happiness for Damon?

From the BtS pic of Paul released recently, I'm certain Steroline is getting married, I believe Nina is returning for 8x16 and that Damons getting his happy ending with her.
I'm okay with them finding their humanity in eachother and their "true happiness" in their women. Even though the double fairytale ending will be uninteresting to watch.
Yeah I always believed that Steroline will get their HEA (probably by getting married) before finale disaster hits. I believed that to be one of them dying (to achieve bittersweet ending) but I hope that I am wrong.
ABout Delena, I am not sure though. I guess they should give that relationship a closure.
