Did Damon kill Grayson Gilbert

Have to say, I've always wondered about how the Gilberts died, Grayson was a monster, defined in S5, my def of a monster, a souless genecidal murderer. It would make sense if Damon, or Stefan killed him, it's the Miranda and not telling Elena part I don't get.
The last ep brought this to mind, but have thoughts of Liz Forbes coming to the forefront also.
Don't think she was clear on that either.

I'm confused. You mean how their car ran off the road? S6 showed neither Damon or Stefan were involved in the crash. That it was an accident

Damon had no clue Grayson was an Augustine until it was uncovered in season 5. Sheriff Forbes was thrown by Miranda calling her and there being bags in the car. Both debunked in season 6 in her office with Damon and then Elena. The phone call was to play-bust Jer for smoking weed.

Also, Damon killed WHITMORES.
