I'm enjoying the finale season but it does feel like filler

I have always enjoyed TVD and the episodes used to be exciting and felt fresh and they seemed to have had this great super fast pace of going thru a huge amount of story in just one episode. I am enjoying this final season but they don't seem to be as fast paced as previous seasons and the episode plot and story seem repetitive. These episodes storyline/plots could have been condensed into fewer episodes. It makes it feel like they are treading water until they can get to the series finale.
Hopefully they will pull off a great finale.

The Sirens are really starting to drag, a lot.

I agree. I thought it was an interesting concept at first but it's just getting old fast.

I couldn't agree more. Julie tried to sell this crazy short season as an amazing opportunity to pack each Ep with meaning and content..,so far it's slow-paced and rife with filler.

Agreed. It's been boring. The sirens have not been compelling. And the season feels repetitive.

1) One or both Salvatore's "flip the switch"...check
2) One or both Salvatore's wander the country killing whoever they please...check
3) One or both Salvatore's turns into a complete tool that you're really hoping is killed by the bad guy...check
4) The more interesting side characters fade into the background while we're stuck watching said unlikeable Salvatore's...check

We've seen all this before. Thus far nothing to recommend this season. Hoping the finale is actually of interest.
