i feel so sorry for Bonnie through out eight season of vampire diaries we see her always loosing her powers or trying to get them back so she can help Stefan Damon
in there twist ways to get what there want i know they want Elena back that find
if i would of been Bonnie i would told Elena Damon Stefan stick up where the feet
want hurt and leave mystic falls and them all behind start new life somewhere else
Because the show is chokeful of bad and racist writing. They made Bonnie too powerful too soon to bail the white people. But if she has her magic all the time, there are no stakes. So she loses her magic when its plot inconvenient. The idea that:
A, they could write a story of Bonnie gradually coming into her power and getting incrementally stronger while remaining vulnerable as a witch, never occurred to the, because that would mean giving Bonnie a storyline and as Damon and Julie constantly remind us, Bonnie needs to earn her existence on the show.
B, Bonnie could be this powerful and CHOOSE not to always bail out her friends because of what magic costs her OR because she doesn't agree with their plans / intentions OR might even be working against them because their plans are diabolical also never occurred to the writers because that would make Bonnie a 3D person not a Magical Negro / Sassy Black Best Friend trope.
