shareThat was prerecorded when she was in NYC last week (Fox 5 Atlanta is the station it is airing on). If you watch her Instagram story, you will see she's in LA and if you look at Julie Plec's Twitter, you will see that they had the final table read and she wasn't there.

shareNo excuses can be left if Nina is not physically there or no where to be scene on set when they are filming 8x16. Thinking that they are keeping it a secret/surprise until the very last second of the series for NIna to pop up and say "surprise:"
All of a sudden we go from JP saying that Nina made an emotional promise to the excuse being that NIna has to be kept a secret, I don't buy that, because why not keep it a secret from the start, instead of JP talking enough for fans to believe that Nina would return since she left.
If she's coming back she will be in Atlanta at least one day between thursday and next friday
shareEventually they will start to film 8x16 and there will be strong hints of her being on set, since the media will be watching out for that and there is no way that they can keep something like that a "secret" in today's social media.
Unless people are going to act like Nina is going to wear disguise's and sneak around the set to keep from being discovered, which there is no reason to keep her return a surprise or "suspense" when it has been talked about since she left in Season 6. Not really a true secret if it's been talked about in the open for so long or JP could have been from the very start saying that it's more of a secret, instead she was talking about how it's more of a guarantee/promise, until just recently where NIna's return seems more unsure and not guaranteed and Nina is avoiding saying right out "yes" to her returning.
People will know 100% soon enough no excuses if the episode airs and she is not physically there with the rest of the cast.
I can't agree because all you have to do is watch on twitter all the pressure they're dealing with from delena and stelena fans without even a confirmation of Nina's return.Just imagine how it would be like with a confirmation. Let me remind you that these are the people who had written a delena kiss under the rain just because fans asked for it.Beside the fact that keeping a secret as long as possible keeps the interest up.

They are already dealing with the pressure of NIna's return. Every day they are tweeted about people asking and to the point of some threatening what would happen without Nina returning. And constantly tweeting Nina herself. so confirming would only make some of those fans happy and have them backing off from asking and focus on being excited about her return.
Instead there is impatience, some fans getting fed up with this so called "secret" that is being kept from them, if it's truly is a secret and people threatening to not support Nina if she doesn't come back. They really don't care much about Stelena fans reactions anymore.
So far more negative responses than anything from people not knowing. Either way soon enough it will be known for sure, depending on how far away they are from filming 8x16. If she is on set it's going to be very hard to keep it a secret. If she is off in a different/state/country when they rest of the cast is filming, then her "keeping it a secret" or "not being able to talk about it" can't be used as an excuse.

but not telling whether she's 100% returning or not creates buzz. If it had been revealed earlier not as many people would be talking about it
