Nina may not return (thru no fault of her own)

I found this on a pretty reliable gossip site where most of their predictions come true. I'm holding out hope that it's false, or at least the principals involved change their minds/behavior.

I didn't realize that Nikki and Ian had so much"power" that they could pull this off.They're that insecure about their marriage?If it's true,it's beyond pathetic

I don't know.He still followed her ,liked a pic of her in underwear and then unfollowed her because of Nikki.They remained friends till Nikki said her word.

I SO believe this b/c Nikki has/had a jealous streak, when Ian/Nikki started dating and she would go on set of TVD (this is when Nina was still on show). They had witnesses who said that Nikki would overly due her PDA w/Ian while Nina was insight of them; it was like Nikki was showing Nina, look he's mine now. I don't think it even phased Nina one bit from what insiders said b/c Nina/Ian were over done with. It's sad Ian couldn't remain friends w/Nina after he started dating Nina, b/c they were still on good terms w/each other but Nikki made sure Ian stopped that right away. Well now she's married to Ian so why does she have to be so jealous about Ian/Nina doing ONE FINAL SCENE together just to give closure for this couple Damon/Elena; its not fair to the fans who has been watching since the very beginning. Nikki is childish, and Ian needs to put his wife in check b/c this doesn't look good on him either.

As it should be. :) I just dont think it's realistic that either of them will blow this up. It will put a strain on the relationship they both have with the CW and will make Nikki look really bad to others in the industry.

As it should be? Not letting him finish the job he started out of insecurity?I don't think so.He changed and not in a good way since he's with her.But As long as he's happy as he claims, and keeps Nina out of his bs,it's all good.

No, she has "power" over him because she is wife, the same way that he has "power" over her as his husband.

There is no evidence whatsoever that Nikki is forcing Ian or anyone else to prevent Nina from coming back. The entire speculation is ridiculous and only exists in the minds of delusional Nian shippers.

Nikki probably does not have power over this show but she def has on IAN who has power.

I do think that spouses and girlfriends of these actors have influence on the actors who are influential to the show. Why do actors attitude suddenly change towards their co-star after they start a new relationship?

Ian does not hold power in this situation. TVD is over, he is contractually obligated to appear in the rest of the episodes, and if he wishes to maintain a positive relationship with the CW and its parent companies, he cannot refuse to shoot with Nina if that is what they wish to do. Nina can refuse, but Ian is not in a position to do so without violating his contract and being held responsible for monetary damages.

If his contract were up for renewal, he would hold some power. He does not hold any power at the moment.

He's not just an actor on the show, he's also a producer, so yes he does have that power.

I saw that interview of NINA (where her manager is commenting that she cannot tell anything) and I think it is very possible that she is not coming. Her smile is not necessarily indicative of her coming back, rather that she is hiding a secret that she is enjoying and I think that she is fed up of TVD and she does not want to come back and her want is being successful while at the same time she is enjoying the attention that she is getting from fans even though she is not part of the show anymore. It must be good for her pride.

Listen I told you what I think. Also I dont think happiness necessarily means that he will end up with Elena. It could mean his peace of mind/ redemption (can lead to him sacrificing himself for his bro) which is what this show has been targeted towards. NO?

Of course you could be right and she is coming back. If that keeps you happy then sure.

Given the finale of s6, and everything in s7 and s8, his happiness is Elena.And personally I would rather see Elena end up with Matt.

Hopefully Matt would rather see Elena end up with Damon, would make more sense if he gave the Gilbert ring back to Damon, since Elena gave it to Damon in the first place and Damon gave it to Matt to save Elena.

She left London about a day and a half ago and they are filming the finale I believe now..so Nina could be very well be coming back if there are leaks we will hear about it..

Nina Dobrev just confirmed this morning via Instagram and Twitter that she will be returning, at least for the series finale. We don't know if she's going to be in any other episodes, they might want to keep that a surprise. But it has been confirmed that she WILL be returning for the finale!!
