The Enzo Spinoff
While I'm not Enzo's biggest (I'm actually barely a fan of the guy at all) fan, are people reallllllyyyyy that close minded to a spinoff? If anything it may redeem his poor writing throughout TVD.
I've been tweets and the reactions from these Twitter accounts all seem so..non thought out.
"What SL is there for Enzo? All he's got is Bonenezo?"
The Spinoff is what would help with that, giving him a storyline is what that show would do.
"Why would Enzo leave Bonnie?"
Why did Angel leave Buffy? P.S. I'd never compare cause they don't. But, yanno, example A
"Who would tune in to watch Enzo?"
Anyone that is hung up on TVD ending, anyone looking for a vampire fix (which could be a lot more whenever HBO starts up that Vampire series) anyone interested in watching a new show. Depending on how CW would promote.
"He's attached to the TVD characters, why would they screw that up?"
Screw up what? His only true connections are Damon and Bonnie, he shouldn't have developement with Stefan, Matt, or Alaric (his speech about Tyler was pityfully hilarious) Caroline should still hate him for S7. His ties to this show aren't THAT strong.
I'm open to any new ideas from TVD. If anything, they haven't dissapointed. Look at TO. It's still good, in fact, great IMO. But, the general consensus is its still entertaining. Look at the stories they created from that show using mostly just Klaus and Elijah as stepping stones. Imagine getting hath that potential in story from Enzo. He's not Joseph Morgan either, but he's improving.
I remember how many people HATED the idea of TO when it was announced in like February of 2013, people continously cried for 3 months until the backdoor pilot aired (and got picked up the next day btw) and proved everyone wrong. Now, I'm not including the psycho Klaroliners who boycotted that series before it even aired.
Point is, why can't we give this idea (yes, it's merely an idea) a chance? Why does everyone seem so quick to discount it? Nothing is even official yet, thoughts?
