Didn't Plec say they were going to bring a bunch of characters back?

I swear I remember Julie Plec saying that they were bringing a lot of characters back for the final season. But we are nine episodes into the season, and how many returning characters have their been? I remember only Tyler and thats it.

Well, we've had Liz and she'll also be in 8x10 along with Vicki and Miranda Gilbert. We're supposed to see Kai in 8x13, Bonnie's mom, Grayson Gilbert. I'm sure Jeremy will be in the finale.

I think there's gonna be a few in the next episode that takes place in Damon's mind for the most part.

Which would be worse - to live as a monster, or to die as a good man? 

Most of the returning characters are likely to be featured in episode 8X13 When Damon visited Cade.

I guess we might see one or two tonight when Caroline and Bonnie take a trip into Damon's mind.

She said at least 10 where returning.

So far as of 8x10 we have had;

1. Sarah
2. Liz
3. Tyler
4. Grams
5. Vicki
6. Zack
7. Elena (final)
8. ???
9. ???
10. ???

Most likely Jeremy, Kai and Lexi or one of the originals will return.

I don't remember seeing Sarah in the last episode. I saw everybody else that was named but not Sarah, which scene was she in? I watched the whole episode don't know how I could've missed her. Thanks

she was one of the 10 to return in an earlier episode. Not all of them were in 8x10.
