Insta reaction was this was a really good episode. Definitely the best this season and most probably better than any in S7.
It had it's flaws but mostly I was surprised at how well the emotional beats landed.
The best part- we got Damon back so hopefully things will start to happen and actually make sense.

6 episodes left show. Make them count.

Never argue with stupid people,they will drag you down to their level then beat you with experience.

Liked it for the redemption theme. It showed that Damon is capable of redemption, even though he doesn't think he is.
Thought the Caroline and Bonnie visits with Damon were very touching.
Stefans visit was interesting, Damon finally forgave him, touching and important because it emphasizes the relationship, Stefan can't survive without Damon, Damon will always be there for Stefan.
Matt and His Dad were interesting also, finally discussing Vicky, wow, I'm thinking I wouldn't want a Dad that ran away and stayed away after my sister was killed. Maybe that's why Matt starts to see a glimmer of the truth.
Liked the smile sharing between Caroline and Damon, lol, , ..guess they're family.

Indeed this was a very good episode in a final season that so far has been hit or miss.

The best part was the final (I hope) goodbye to the sirens. I did not think I could take much more of them. So going forward the "big bad" (to quote ole Buffy) will be Cade.
