Or maybe the writers just got tired of all the complaints from Selena fans. 😁

Or perhaps Ian and Nina doesn't want to do anymore love scenes. Season 6 must have been just awful for Nina. Having to spend so much time doing love scenes with someone that you no longer like.

THought they had died since they killed and buried SE four seasons ago. I just recently started hearing from them again, ever since KEVIN came back. Anyway if they do it it will be a fan service. Should have mentioned in my OP.

Story wise it does not make sense. I would have believed it if they had not shown that Steroline development oR if they had shown us one of them Elena or Stefan pining for each other OR if they had continued to show some sort of underlying romantic development between them/ some sort of mixed signals.

that is exactly what I meant. T hey dont want to do any love scenes or Delena endgame.

Sorry, but in Friday's episode, they'll state that Caroline is the love of Stefan's life. Having Elena ending up with him would make her second choice for Stefan and she deserves way better than that.

And I have mentioned SC development countless times. It is convincing and it says that they both love each other. Not Klaus or Elena!

We were just discussing if they do it, it will be unbelievable.

Sorry about the negativity in this response. I think that their salary and need to work should overstep on spoiled emotions within very privileged people. No one else in the regular job force would ever be allowed to behave like small children with pre-teen hormones at a place of work. If this is truly the reason for a series ending then I will quit television all together.

Even though I'm an SE fan, I agree with this. After all the time and effort spent trying to destroy Stefan and Elena's relationship, it wouldn't make sense for them to be endgame. That being said, I don't think the way Damon and Elena finally got together made sense either. Lol. A lot of the story from season 4 onward hasn't made much sense, imo.

Strangely the very first time Damon and Elena shared screen, I had an idea they are going in that direction. All those hints they were throwing during the first three seasons, pointed towards them.

Of course Elena and Stefan was very obvious but I was more inclined towards DE but then they ruined it after season 4 by all this unnecessary angst and drag.

I knew that they were going to get together at some point (regardless of whether or not they would become endgame) and at the time it didn't bother me just because the writing in the earlier seasons was so much better. After season 3, though, I feel like everything became so forced. But I doubt there will be any other ending than DE. I'll just be happy if Stefan makes it through the series alive.

Stelena is not going to happen with that few episodes ahead. Plus Stefan deserves better than a woman that wants to bang his family.
The only way I could imagine this would be many years after those two survived Damon and Caroline.
Stefan did indeed say 2 (?) episodes ago that Elena is hard to get over.
