How did Stefan... *minor spoilers*

...buy the house from some random realtor? Or rather have the realtor take ownership from Bonnie? I must've missed something, but didn't Bonnie own the house? That's how she invited Enzo inside. So how did the other woman take ownership just by signing some papers? A standard transaction would require Bonnie to relinquish ownership. The only exceptions I could think of are A) forging Bonnie's signature (which would defeat the spirit of the ownership curse, I would think), or B) go through a foreclosure, but Bonnie indicated that she inherited the place from a grandfather. I thought?

Bonnie inherited the property after her father died, but it was likely still in her father's name or grandfather's name. In other words although she inherited the house, the realtor might have still had the deed to the house. That the only thing I can think of, once the realtor brought the house herself all Stefan needed was a invite.

I remember Bonnie saying she bought it with the money her dad left her. also, just signing some papers doesnt make you an owner;they need to be filed. That scene was dumb

They don't need to be filed they just need to be signed, notarized and legal. The signature is binding regardless of filing, that's why people can create their own contract, the notarization sealed it. Elijah did something similar when he had the werewolf house turned into public domain and Marcel did the same thing so the vampires could enter the compound when it was under Freya's name.

You can't just take someone's house from under them with just a signature. Nor can you notarized your own signature

If there is a mortgage the deed is held by the lender until repayment so the deed can be transferred in the shady ass way it was. It can be fought, and most people won't do it, but it's not impossible.
