Bonnie & Enzo are Getting on my Nerves

It's too much. Really.

ETA:

Make that they were getting on my nerves. I felt bad for Bonnie, but relief at that couple ending. It was overbearing.

Bonnie though...

I'm convinced the writers hate her. Or Kat. Or both.

I wasn't thinking about you when you were here.

Agreed about the relationship. I think the writers may have gone extra sappy just to make the end of Enzo a bit more sad / tragic / etc.

I don't know that it was though. The annoyance of the relationship and screen time left me feeling a bit relieved by it.

Looks like Bon-Bon might be a little "Willow-ticked".

reply

Enzo was not worthy. I mostly tolerated that relationship but have always felt Bonnie deserved better than the half-assed scraps they threw her.

Still bitter about Jesse. So much potential there.

reply

Jesse? The regular College guy-turned Augustine Vampire that liked Caroline?

reply

Yep.

Yep, that's what they final scene looked like to me. I hope so, anyway. It's about time Bonnie stopped being everyone's doormat.

I saw [vampires] before they were trendy!

reply

Definitely top much Bonnie and Enzo scenes last episode.
God sake they been together over 3 years.

reply

I think Julie has a vendetta against Kat because Bonnie's storyline had the potential to be amazing from the get go and instead we got this drivel. Also, there is really no plot explanation for why they dull down Bonnie's looks in comparison to Kat's.

reply

They've really dulled her down a little, especailly compared to the beginning of the season. I think she looked amazing in Season 6 and 3. Idk why they don't let her (or Candice lately) look great. I hate to be that guy, but it never was like this for Nina, even though I find her more attractive than both, you can't tell it's not like that. Especially when Elena is supposed to look more "plain" (not my words) in comparison to Katherine.

reply

They definitely didn't do it with Nina, both Candice and Kat look wayyy better in interviews and candid photos than they do as their characters. I think in their narrative Elena is supposed to be the prettiest one, the one who is always chosen, so they try to downplay the others. The reality is, these women are all GORGEOUS and it bothers me that they downplay it so they can have Caroline always lose the guy or Damon say *beep* like "oh youre just not used to guys hitting on you" to Bonnie. Give me a break.

reply

Nina is stunning and doesn't need others to be downplayed to look better than both. The two others are beautiuful ladies too and no I didn't see them being downplayed in any way.

reply

Nina is gorgeous. Nina doesn't need others to be downplayed, regardless of how attractive others are. However, the others are absolutely being downplayed on TVD. DO they need to be? Of course not, that is my entire point. But that is what is happening.

Kat:

Not to mention, she has historically never been on the episodes where they get dressed up and get to be pretty. And I intentionally picked a basic picture of Kat, there are much better ones out there.

Candice I am having a hard time finding screen grabs from this season so I will drop this point.

reply

Nina doesn't need the others to be downplayed, it's just that they DO downplay the others, and like it's said it's basically for no reason since they're all extremely hott.

reply

Seriously. People always talk about the guys on this show, but I have always felt the women outshine them.

reply

They do for me lol. I mean I notice the shows aimed at women though and Paul and Ian both have the "hero" and "bad boy" looks to themselves. I mean hell, I expected Elena, Bonnie, and Caroline to great looking, but I think the first time I really noticed how everyone's fine is when I seen aunt Jenna, I was like DAMN even their aunt is looking sexy. But of course eye candy was the furthest thing from anyone who had a general interest in the storyline early on.

reply

but I have always felt the women outshine them

Yes. Yes they do. As a bisexual male, I can say, with pure confidence and no conviction, that the women outshine the men on the Richter scale of hotness.

Specifically Kat. She is my favorite and has been since Season 1. Nina runs a close second. Very close. Maybe tied.

reply

I disagree..Beside guys are not choosing Elena because of her looks.Actualy both guys went after her because she looked like Katherine, not because she' s the hottest girl in town. So downplaying other doesn't make any sense. Like I said I don't think they're downplaying anyone.

reply

It has nothing to do with the story or who the boys choose, it's how the show let's the actresses look.

reply

In that case they're downplaying Nina as Elena too.

reply

They've stated they do it on purpose though, to contrast Katherine's look.

reply

I agree, I thought they were alright at first but their overly lovey dovey scenes have turned me off. With Enzo dead I hope Bonnie becoming a vampire is completely off the table. I want witch Bonnie back before the show ends.
