Delena without the cure

So do we all acknowledge that prior to season 4, there was no existence of a cure. Vampirism was vampirism, and the vampires of this show entered relationships with the humans knowing this fact?

Why are people now suddenly acting like without the cure, Delena will be doomed?? What exactly did Bonnie do to risk their future? Any "hope" for their future was only given post season 4, when the Cure was even brought into the conversation. All of Damon's fantasies for Elena before that were fantasies about a very human Elena (who didn't wante to be a vampire).

Moreover, we had Stefan/Elena in a long-term relationship; were they doomed because no cure existed? Maybe, but that was the purpose of the show. Idk what exactly Bonnie is being accused of doing; what is she depriving Delena of that is so different from what we were all used to in our early understanding of the show?

Bonnie didn't do anything to them. Had Delena ended up together at the end of season 3, this would have been their fate too. Elena, human, in love with Damon, vampire.

The cure was such a great twist in the beginning, but now it is one of the dumbest tropes on this show. There is no need to take the cure and be human together. First of all, I have no idea why any of them (save Stefan who is an alcoholic type ripper) would WANT to be human. Like, I fundamentally do not get why these super powerful and strong beings who can mind control people would want to be human. Secondly, if my partner was a vampire, I would not want them to suddenly become an old ugly human! They can literally stay hot and healthy forever, not to mention, if I get hit by a car they can give me their blood and I am good as knew. Also they can lift heavy things, get places quickly, and let's be real, the sex is probably way better.

I can maybe buy Elena wanting to be human, but why did Damon have to be human? It was obvious to anyone that he's going to hate it. And who even knows if they can have kids? And why on earth does Enzo need to be human for him and Bonnie to enjoy their lives? WOULDNT THEY HAVE MORE FUN WITH HIM AS A Vamp? Ugh, this show.

Isn't actual forever a lot better when you're immortal, vs living 60 years if you are lucky?

Oh my god, thank you! I thought I was the only one who thought Elena was a complete nut job for throwing away all those abilities!

Realistically speaking cure aside no woman in their right mind would even want Damon in the first place. He's murdered so many people with his humanity on for various stupid reasons. No concern for them. He didn't care. He's also a damned rapist which the show is so immature it just pretends that never happened(even worse than how Buffy handled it).

Don't even get me started on them all contemplating if Bonnie should die early so Elena could wake up and giving her a 60 year time frame as if they know she will drop dead at that point or else.

The cure is so stupid now. The only thing that made sense would've been rewarding Bonnie with a human Enzo after all she's done for that pack of idiots. She could've had a huge family and lived a long happy life without all the supernatural drama. Then they could've had their boring Delena reunion and everybody wins.

I don't understand the love for Damon either. I've hated him since Day 1 and my hatred has only grown since. But he's the fan favorite, as is Delena, so I'm trying to process what I can of their logic.

They are over. Period. No Delena endgame.

Why? Will Damon fall out of love before Elena wakes up? There's no reason they can't just be together the way they (or at least, Stefan/Elena) intended to be before the cure was established.
