Since Stefan is now human again this could lead to a really great ending. Stefan, Damon, and Caroline all become human. Then, Matt handcuffs them and throws them in jail and says "What? You're human now. Humans go to jail after they've mass murdered people."

Matt's a cop. Cops don't go to jail for killing people.
