Before this show ends Matt should become a vampire so that he can fully understand what that means, and how difficult it is to maintain humanity when you're driven by a hunger for human blood. He's so judgemental, I'm thinking people in glass houses........... it would be righteous.

I would love for Matt to become a vampire ! I always thought that would be the perfect ending. Like Matt was heal by Damon/or Caroline. Then he get shot, or in a totally freak accident only to wake up as a vampire. He runs into what looks like Elena, but finds out it's Katherine. Katherine tell him that since he taught her how to be human, she would teach him how to be a vampire. Or Matt runs into his girlfriend Penny, he thinks he's imagining it, so he follows her and calls after her. She stops and turns around. Matt tells her that he must be dreaming, or she's a ghost ...I thought I killed....Penny attacks him. He wakes up as a vampire with Penny by his side.
When I saw the title of your post I was so ready to disput you.. because I like Matt.... but after reading your post I see your point.... Sure his jugdement never stops and it's not fair for him to be mad at his friends for something they didn't choose. But I don't think he's even mad at his friends like Caroline, Bonnie, or Elena, he's mad at the fact that bad things have happened since vampires have stepped into this town season 1 and sometimes when Damon hurt people, like his sister, it was at his own free will.... and fact is they can't control themselves when they thirst for blood or flip the switch but that's why he would be happier if they simply didn't exist :/
Don't turn your back. Don't look away. And whatever you do, don't Blink. 🏦
#TeamMatt here. He's right! these people are monsters and abominations to the world. This show trys so hard to paint a gray area with vampires. The humanity switch is BS because they still killed people horribly, played sick sadistic games with people, and torture. How do you even know if their switch is off or on when they kill people anyway. The Originals are killing machines and I would assume they have their humanity.
I won't lie. I never liked Matt and this dislike has only increased since he became the vamp hater he has become the last few seasons. That said, I am a firm believer of trying to put yourself in the other person's shoes. I would love for Matt to see what the others have had to endure and to see how he handles it, hopefully under extreme circumstances.

I never ever like Matt, and I think it's a shame that they seem to be making him even more unlikable. Matt had killed before. He killed Penny, and Klaus's male witch. I truly felt they should have gotten rid of Matt and replace him with a human April. He wrong to blame Stefan and Damon for the vampires problem. The town has always had vampires, werewolves, and witches way before the Salvatores came back. He just was blind to it because the council cover it up.
For that he does not need to become a vampire. An empathic person can understand what others are feeling without being in their shoe.
Saying that I dont think Matt is wrong exactly. He is a HUMAN. They are MONSTERS/ ABOMINATIONS. Realistically humans cannot coexist with them. If they are dying they will kill humans. I find friendship between human and vampires so laughable. He is going to feel that way about them and after what they brought to this town. If Stefan and Damon had not come to this town everything would have been great. None of their friends would have turned at least Klaus arrived.

I see your point "realistically humans cannot exist with them" except for the fact that they do. Evidence that they do, Elena loved both Stefan and Damon as a human, Caroline loved Matt even though she was a vamp and he was human, Bonnie loved Caroline, Elena , Damon and Enzo, even though she is human. Ugh, there's more, I know but I don't feel like listing them all. Point is, you're wrong.
NOpe. You are justifying your point by quoting something that is ridiculous. Any sane human should be running in opposite direction...
Because of her attraction to Stefan and Damon she became vampire... lost her humanity (literally by turning NOT HUMAN)
Because of her attraction to Klaus, Cami became a vampire... stupid girl and then they had the galls to blame these vampires
and before you defend that they SAVED elena then I dont think that is a good defence since they are now abominations. Nature didnt create them for a reason.

Matt is not my favor person , but it is impossible for anyone in Matt's situation to be anything but judgmental .
Time and time again , Stefan , Damon,Elena , Even Caroline had taken human lives . And time and time again they gets free pass , and they then kill again get more free pass. They are suppose to be the Good Vampire .
Innocent people were kill , and nobody is held accountable .
Stefan always had some good excuse , his humanity was turn off , he had a drinking problem .
In fact i am surprise Matt can put up with them for so long . i think Matt is just too kind .
Matt killed Penny because he had a bloodlust to kill vampires and brought her into it. How does that make him "good"? He waited for Stefan to meet Caroline at Liz Forbes grave so he could kill him and brought Penny with him. After he killed Penny, he still blamed Stefan, WTH? Even when he learned the truth. Maybe Matt always has an excuse. Appearances can be deceiving.
