Am I the only one that doesn't understand how taking the cure killed Katherine because she aged all over again or something like that but the cure did nothing to Stefan or Elena? Elena might make sense because she wasn't a vampire for too long, even if she aged, it would only be a couple of years. But Stefan has been a vampire for 100+ years so shouldn't he be aging 100+ years? I get that this is TVD and the writer's are sh*tty with loopholes and keeping up plot lines, but this just doesn't make sense to me.

Taking the cure stops their immortality but doesn't reverse it. Draining the cure,once taken, like Silas did Katherine, causes the aging.
