Kai is back!!!! As much as I hated him in season 6 I was so happy to see him back my jaw dropped lol

I liked seeing Kai back too. missed his brutal violence and comedic timing. TVD writers are always great at these weird surprise endings

I liked Kai sort of but this is taking fan wanking to the extreme. Almost as bad as Supernatural.

Normally, I'd totally be agreeing with you as I hate any fan service done for character arcs, reviving dead characters (ugh, remember Lexie), and ships. But Kai is honestly the biggest exception for me. Like, this season has been so sh-tty that I will take any and all fan service in the name of Kai.

I'll take it as long as they don't try to ship him with anyone. Just let him be his wonderful evil, snarky self. That's where they effed up with Klaus for me, tbh.
