Couldn't they turn Bonnie into a Vampire

I asked the same thing when Kai initially put the curse on them. Her mom was a witch & she was turned into a vampire. Unless Bonnie absolutely refuses to do it, I don't see why that isn't the loophole they need.

So once again sacrifice her for Elena, she becomes an abomination? The very fact that she wanted Enzo to turn to human should prove that she will not OPT to become a vampire. If they do it then it will be contrived and forced.

Not to mention the fact that she could easily have just sucked on Elena afterwards to make herself back into a witch.

The catch was that this was all done because Nina was leaving, and didn't want to come back as a guest star, etc. SO, they couldn't have Elena waking up, regardless of the "how."
