Caroline had to be in school?

Caroline had to be in school the whole day and not knowing about Tyler's Death until the end of the day when she sees he doesn't come to pick her up after school as he Always does?

Shouldn't they all have been free to go home immedietely in case someone they knew were in the building? Especially Caroline whose dad works there? And she knew Tyler was there that day too. Shouldn't she have been free to go home then and find out?

She had to wait in school all day long and not know until the end of the day if her family members were dead? "Oh my dad and brother are probably dead but let's do some algebra".

That seems a Little weird. I guess it just made a good scene in the Movie cause that would have been crazy in real Life if she had to endure a whole school day when both her dad and Tyler could probably be dead.

I just rewatched the movie and there was no indication that Caroline had to spend the entire day at school. If that were the case, there would've been someone there to pick her up since obviously Tyler couldn't.

No you are wrong. She spent the entire day in school. When school was out she couldn't find her brother that Always picked her up. And the parents didn't know Tyler was dead yet or had that to Think about so they didn't send someone else to pick her up. Besserwisser!

I find it very hard to believe that his parents went a whole 8 hours without knowing. Tyler told his father that he would be waiting in his office (the point of impact). So, it's pretty much safe to assume he was dead. I'm sure that's what Charles was thinking when he was looking up at the building in shock.

I wrote that they had Tyler's Death to Think about! Not sure if the mom knew yet though. So they didn't have someone there to pick her up.

Yes she had to be in school the whole day and there are very much indications on that. Why else would she look for her brother and start Crying when he didn't come!? He couldn't have known what time she could leave school, so would he just stay out there the whole day and wait for her!? Of course it was the end of the school day!

We'll just have to agree to disagree.

OMG, you actually Think he would stay outside her school the whole day and wait for her. Hahahaha.

And no one else was there to pick her up - so...

You are clearly wrong about EVERYTHING!

What is wrong with you?

I have three children. In the event of a tragedy, disaster, natural or otherwise, we are told NOT to pick our children up until the end of the day. They have crisis training and safety protocols and they say parents coming to pick children up sporadically can cause disturbances in their routines, thereby decreasing children and staff safety.
There have been occasions where parents' parked cars blocked emergency service vehicles--police cars, fire trucks and ambulances were unable to access the school. (One instance was a few years ago in North Royalton, Ohio, I believe.)
