When her husband says he will give her time to sort it out I feel that was exactly what she did. when she saw the lover would not leave his family she opted to get her own. That was the significance of the husband saying that. so many missed it.

More indications of she went back to her husband

The lover called her husband a saint and this bothered her as she never understood how good of a person he was to her. He let her make up he own mind and hoped for the best.

Another point of she went back to him is when she was trying to get a answer from her lover in the hotel she realized he was spending money on her and not his kids which I guess would be there future.

When they were in the hotel she said she thought they would make the choice to leave there spouses together when he did not want any part of this.

And lastly, and the most significant sign is she looked out the window and saw ordinary couples doing natural mundane things like cleaning the rug together and she realized that this is life it is not running around having sex for excitement, life has simple things.
