An acting observation....
Being a Sam Elliott fan, I have grown to really appreciate his acting in this - from bone-weary to high agitation. In one scene, no words were said and all the communication was only done by his face and it wasn't just one expression but a series of them.
But my real observation was when I started watching each actor and noticed how good a talented actor (Sam Elliott) acts in contrast to those with less ability (McGraw, Hill and the little boy).
For one thing, when Sam Elliott speaks his lines it is as if he is the person while when the others speak their lines it is clear they are lines being merely recited by an actor.
