This movie is basically The Avengers, but with robots instead of superheroes.
The difference is that this movie had a weak beginning and strong end, where the Avengers was better in the beginning and lackluster in the end.

At least Dark of the Moon had great villains, where avengers had Loki the joke. And yet i'm assured all the Bay haters voted this 1-4 and avengers 6-10.

Basically, what you posted, is that you only watch films for the explosions and special effects.

The difference is that Avengers had a better character-driven story and had humor that was actually funny - as opposed to the forced, low-brow crap that was in these films.

Loki and his army were a credible threat. Megatron, Shockwave, Starscream and Sentinal were taken out like bitches way too quickly. As for Dr. McDreamy - please say you weren't considering him a "great" villain.

And since you're a Bay lover, I can safely assume you respectively rated just the opposite?
