How would the space bridge have won the war?
OP says it would have won the war. How so?
shareEven for super-advanced and endlessly-warfaring aliens, the near-supernatural ability to instantaneously transport soldiers, weapons, and supplies across vast distances is a pretty big deal. Can't help but think that would make a pretty big difference.
sharemy thoughts exactly, it would not have made a difference.
shareThe people of Chicago would probably disagree.
shareA teleportation device, a means of an instant strike. Sounds like a big help to me.
shareI'm talking about the Cybertron war.
shareYeah, that doesn't make your point or the question any less absurd.
Firstly, Optimus described it as such before he even knew HOW exactly Sentinel planned to use it to win the war...namely, by selling it out to the Decepticons in their "truce" to restore their planet through slavery. So there's THAT.
Then there's also the fact that we were explicitly SHOWN how it could be used to IMMENSE tactical advantage when it was used to quite handily overwhelm the Autobot forces in D.C. as well as the entire city of Chicago.
And let's not forget that (again) we actually SAW the space bridge tech win the war for the Autobots at the end of TF:DotM. By collapsing in on itself mid-transport, of course...but still.
All of these situations and more could easily apply in any strictly Cybertronian conflict as well.
I mean, it's a HUGE advantage!
This thread shouldn't even exist, lol.
in the opening scene, Optimus says whatever is in that ship would have made the Autobots win the war.
but a portal to another part of the universe would not do that, at much it would allow the Autobots to escape.
that's why the op asks this question, because it is a plot hole, ever since I saw the movie I realized that.
you're a moron.
I like the part where I clearly explained how it is NOT a plot hole and was blatantly SHOWN to be a war-winning advantage anyway but you either ignored or didn't understand the reply while calling ME a moron, lol.
IRONY!!!
\o/
It's not a plot hole, you moron. Having a teleportation device is the biggest advantage an army could have during a war.
