Carly's Shoes...
Did anyone else notice how throughout the entire third act of the movie Carly's shoes kept switching back and forth in almost every scene from high heels to flats, high heels to flats?
I assume this was for the sake of the actress as I can't imagine running around being chased by robots or jumping off of buildings would be easy to do in heels. But then that begs the question, why bother having her wear them in the first place? Rosie Huntington-Whiteley already towers over Shia LaBeouf as it is, putting her in high heels only makes this more obvious.
Michael Bay seems to like hot girls in high heels since he had Rachael Taylor running around in them in the first film and Megan Fox in the second film. During the scene where Sam and Mikaela are being chased through the school by the Isabel Lucas bot, Mikaela's shoes were also switching back and forth between heels and flats, though it wasn't nearly as noticeable as it was with Carly in Dark of the Moon.
Not really a big deal, I just found it odd and kind of distracting. Can't the costume designer's get these poor girls some running shoes or something?
And on a side note, I thought that Rosie was pretty decent in her role. All the odds were against her: she's a replacement leading lady to the already established one from the first two films, is a British model in a big budget American film and has had zero acting training or experience. Yet I thought she held her own weight pretty well and wasn't noticeably bad like I thought she'd be. She wasn't stand out good either, but she did her job as the hot new girlfriend well.
