Even though in the novel had megaton and Optimus having a truce but why was it changed in the film where megaton is killed knowing that he could not be trusted.

I would not be surprised if there was a novelization that showed them having a truce. But I totally agree with Optimus deciding not to agree with Megatron's truce.

The way that he finished Megatron was bad@ss!

Yes there is and at the end megatron and prime work together to defeat sentinel prime, prime lets megatron go and rebuild cybertron.

Cybertron survives? good, I know it is not real but it was sad that Optimus home planet get destroyed in the movie

Megatron isn't even really dead. He is reborn as Galvatron in T4

I thought Optimus basically ripped him in half..... They just left all the bits there for anyone to find? Didn't keep them?

În the novel he and Megatron form a truce and let's him flee with the other decepticons to go rebuild cybertron.

But in the 3rd movie he is killed so how does he return? Did the Decepticraps take his remains and rebuild him?

He was still slightly functional and tricked humans into building him a new body.

I prefered the book ending myself. Because when Cybertron peaks through the portal Megatron is looking up at Cybertron and literally 'falls back in love' with Cybertron wanting the war to be over. And it would have taken a Decepticon in charge to call off the continuing raid on Chicago. And Megatron does call everyone away from Earth. Thing is... I always thought since the Ark had Autobots on it, including Sentinel Prime... wouldn't the Ark be full of....Autobots? So would the bots hidden on the moon be... 'traitorous' Autobots working for Sentinel? I've generally like all 4 movies that have come out, but the ratio of Autobots to Decepticons really bothers me... I mean if you're on the losing team of 5 or 6 Autobots against hundred of thousands of Decepticons... what's the use? I mean it seems any unnamed Decepticon in this universe can kill off Autobots like stepping on moths. And while it takes Autobots to desparately kill off ONE Decepticon... it just takes a handful of military people with a certain 'frequency' resonators, and snipers to shoot their optics to mess up and kill Decepticons. I mean is we look at TF4 at their metallic "DNA" if it's so special, why is it so easy to kill a Transformer??? That was the near joke in G1, Comics, Beast Wars, Beast Machines, or any other tv show... how HARD it was to kill a TF... since they always seem to come back... whether it's Prime or Megatron, Galvatron, or Starscream, or Skyfire or...heck even Barricade was back in DotM...

Tired of people telling me how young I am when I feel so old...
