Anyone else see the similarities between Lex running for president and Trump running for president?

Big time! I remember watching this thinking how unrealistic it was that the voters would elect a clearly slimy and self-serving person like Lex. I stopped thinking that after 2016.

Nope. Luthor has no hair. Trump has flamboyant hair. Luthor is evil. Trump gave us the best economy and most secure border we'd had in many years. Superman was against Luthor. Superman would endorse Trump.

You're out of your damned mind or just way too lost in the MAGA cult if you think that Superman, an illegal immigrant and the supposed paragon of virtue and justice, would support fucking Trump!

Just from a character standpoint, he wouldn't endorse anyone because that isn't a superman thing to do. But he sure as shit wouldn't be propping up Trump either way. If anything, he'd have cracked another bombshell story about him as Clark Kent, which i'm guessing you'd call fake news.
