Part 2 was terrible.
Part one was pretty good, but part two was a bunch of crap. Not scary...just stupid. I don't know how people can like the second part.

shareThat’s pretty harsh, yes I agree part 2 wasn’t nearly as good as part 1 but I wouldn’t go so far as to say it was crap!
shareI can easily see why some would enjoy portions of the second part, given the flashbacks to when they were kids strewn throughout. I thought it was a somewhat clever idea, and while I thought most of the main performances of the adults were fine in Part Two, I definitely liked seeing the kids back, albeit in a limited fashion.
I'll definitely agree, though, that the finale almost entirely falls apart, and really did feel quite weak, at least in my eyes.
Warner keeps messing things up.
shareI have mixed feelings about IT Chapter 2, but I surely prefer it to the execrable second part of the 1990 miniseries, which was just unbearable in every way, shape and form to an extent that even the director hated it!
Plus, in IT Chapter 2, you get Stephen King himself! Always a bonus!
I actually think part 1 was just ok, just barely above average. I thought the trailer was top notch but the constant cgi Pennywise just didn’t interest me after awhile
Part 2 was boring as hell. I struggled to get through it and I honestly don’t remember anything about it
Mostly they didn't. Like you, I enjoyed part one, but part two was junk.
Of course, the part with the kids was always the more interesting part in the book as well. But that's not the only problem with part two.
I don't mind it, I prefer the actors as the characters and their dialogue as opposed to the even worse second half of the 1990 miniseries, but it did go on rather a long time, and I have to admit, I didn't like the climax being dragged out, like the clubhouse for Ben and the bloody toilet for Bev. It's like this time, the fight with Pennywise was not the main draw as intended by the director Muschietti, but the friendship between the Losers. I think the ending scene was really poignant.
