how does stanley killed himself in the book

in the mini series he just slit his wrist so i'm wondering if that is how he kills himself in the book

Hey is it just me or did they not build quite enough character in the new movie with stan to foreshadow what he will do in the future. Yes he does say at one point that everything going on is impossible but other than that I don't get the same feel that they portrayed in the old movie and especially portrayed in the novel regarding Stan having more trouble than the others accepting it. In the old movie at least Stan has a mini break down when he sees the stuff in the album and in the novel there is lots of stuff where it foreshadows his extra trouble dealing with it. In the novel I remember the one scene where they all share and he basically is offended with the idea of something that he cannot explain and something impossible. Well there is more to it than the words I just said but you get what I mean. Stan likes order and being in control and what happened with It and the experience represents something that goes against his mindset. Let's not forget the scene in the novel when they all cut palms and Stan makes a joke(I guess anyway he was joking) like he is about to slash his wrists. I wonder if they could have included Stan doing that in the new movie or if that would have come off weird. Anyway not exactly complaining just thought the Stan character could have been expanded on a little more. Then again we might see more child character expansion with him in the sequal

Agreed. In this chapter one, they certainly didn't explore that as much as the mini or the book.
