I'm not usually one to wonder "Well what happened?" at the end of a movie, fact or fiction. However, I really would like to know how Kirk made out. Man, she looked SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much... healthier... after she got clean for a while. Anyone know how she did after the filming was done?

Thanks for the link, although it does say she was booked 5/13/2010. I wonder if there is any way to see if she is still locked up, and what exactly for.

I read online some comments by the producer, and some others and recall that someone posted she was given one pill by a cousin and felt so guilty, she called LEO/turned herself in.
They apparantly treated it as a parole violation, but thats what was posted, and I dont have first hand knowledge.
Try a google search for the producers name, its in the movie credits.
You should read some of the stuff that happened behind the scenes!
I wish they would make a few more of these, I'd buy them! HINT HINT.

That's really sad to see, actually, especially after watching the film. You feel for her and the family. I remember saying to my sister after Kirk saw her son and had those heartwarming moments "That's probably not gonna last long." Now that it really hasn't lasted too long, it's sad to see that half-joking prediction come true.
I hope she's doing okay in there. She probably needs some reassurance. All of her worst nightmares in that film about what could happen came true. She's caught badly in the cycle. Anyone know if we can send letters to her? I think she needs a lot of support now. She has two little kids who need her. Mamie's probably taking care of them, but Mamie's really getting old. She has diabetes, and I noticed she has a problem with her left knee and she had her thumb wrapped for the whole movie, which took place over a year. I think she may also be losing her vision. This is all probably because of the diabetes. If Mamie ever goes, that family will be gone.
You have got to be kidding. Two kids that need her?!? She is jail for child abuse that resulted in injury to the child. She did drugs while she was pregnant with Monica. The best thing for those kids would be for the state to terminate her parental rights and put them up for adoption far away from the whites. The state should offer Kirk early release from prison if she agrees to get her tubes tied. I seriously doubt Mamie is taking care of the kids. I wouldn't trust her to water my plants. This whole family is a hot mess that should stop having children. I feel so bad for all the kids I saw in this movie.

Her release date is scheduled for February of 2014.

According to reports Kirk got Monica back then went full force back on the drugs. She is now in prison for *Child Abuse* resulting in serious injury to a child and prescription fraud. In a few years when she gets out she will most likely never get the kids back is what has been said but, only time will tell. Such a sad story.
