Any black folks in this documentary, is there any people of color in that place.

reply

that's bc any black ppl with any sense either stayed away or moved away.

One mans wife was another mans slut This has been a MomentofTruth brought to you by TheEvilMonkey.

reply

In a deleted scene, Annie Mae admitted that she had slept with a black man, and the whole family called her a "n.ig]ger lover" for it. That's pretty much it, though.

reply

There aren't many black people in West Virginia.

reply

There are in Huntington and Charleston.

reply

1) The Whites don't live in Huntington or Charleston.

2) According to the most recently available Census data, there are a grand total of about 10,000 black people in Charleston and Huntington combined, which are the two blackest cities in West Virginia.

Which gets me back to my original statement: there aren't many black people in West Virginia. And to the extent that there are, they sure as hell aren't hanging out in the hollers.

reply

Spot on....black people don't live in hollers or work in coal mines. The black Whites are all in the city housing projects...duh. I would like to note that at least all the White mothers didn't have 8-10 babies each. A positive.

That was sarcasm, right? Tell me you're joking.

"You want me? Well f*king come on and break the door down. I'm ready..."

reply

When the one lady was leaving rehab at the end, she was hugging a black lady goodbye.

I'm from West Virgina- Wheeling. I didn't grow up in the projects either. Also I'm a teacher, so there's no reason to stereotype.

reply

It's probably because there are so few basketball courts in W. Virginia.

reply

Yes, that was sarcasm.

I'm assuming you're black and your point is that there are black people in WV and they aren't like the Whites??

But it's haaarrrrd.

reply

Why do you care? You would want to be associated with these people?
