Netflix censorship?

I saw part of this documentary on Showtime and was intrigued by this train wreck of a family so I decided to watch the whole thing on Netflix. Now, not that it is anything I wanted to see again but the scene where Mamie "pantsed" her adopted son and he dances around with his willie in full exposure was censored in the Netflix version. I didn't know they did that and wonder if they cut anything else out. Censorship SUCKS Netflix!!

I'd beg for some forgiveness but begging's not my business.

I've only seen the Netflix version, but I have to say I'm kind of happy I didn't have to see full frontal of that guy...

Oh no, someone from the internet dislikes me!

Like I said, it is NOT something I'd want to see again but I was surprised that Netflix did that sort of thing. Why do they care?

Netflix has a history of buying censored/softer versions of movies, when possible. It's probably an effort to appear more "mainstream" (though I imagine that more people are annoyed than thrilled when they discover that the "edgy" movie they've rented has been dulled).

Or because it's cheaper, why would Netflix want to appear mainstream?

It's one of those things where it's so beyond bizarre, you can't help but be affected by it...and sadly, it seems to just fit right in with the m.o of that family. Go figure.

I just watched it from Netflix and regrettably that scene was in.

I just saw it on Netflix (the DVD sent to my house, not online) and I saw the full Monty. I have to say it made me laugh.

So this horrific enfringement on my penis viewing rights has been corrected???
