I also felt for Kirk. It was such a great moment in the car when she picks up her kid to take it with her to the mothers rehab. There is this moment where you feel her feel the love she has for her kid. A moment that couldn't have happened when she was on the stuff. I hope she has stayed clean. According to the official website, she is living with her two kids Tylor and Monica.

Kirk is the only one who seems to have any hope for a positive future. I agree that when she apologizes to her son it is very "real" and touching.

shareshe mentions it in one of the interviews with her kid hoping all over the screen, I was trying to pay attention to what she was saying but it was kinda shaky with him popping up and down all over the view of the camera. But she did say she had charges for prescription fraud but they haven't had court for them yet. So that too was in her past. Hopefully she is good now, the thing that really sucks is even if one of the white's tries to get their addiction to pain killers and alcohol under control and straighten their life around, people in that town are not going to believe them...in West Virginia everyone is in everyone else's business b/c of the fact everyone knows everyone, so even when your trying to do the right things, their's alot of haters out there that really don't like you b/c of the name you carry. It's a sad truth, that is like that alot of places Im sure, but in a small community that kind of negativity is amplified.

I agree because she actually seemed to have a good relationship to some extent with her son. I still wonder if it was related to her using drugs while pregnant - however, I am not sure how that would translate to "...resulting in injury?"
