one of the best of all time

Believe me, this film will still be remembered and discussed 20 years from now

reply

Absolutely.

I've been considering getting a UHD Blu ray/4K setup just for this movie but not quiiite there yet

reply

Yes, I think so too. It's in my top10 of all time. The perfect action movie. Have you seen the B&W version?

reply

No, haven't heard of it actually. Not sure how b&w would benefit this film. I'm able to immediately see the value in b&w for movies like "the Mist" or "Logan" but not in this case.

reply

There is a Black & Chrome edition out that apparantly George Miller himself thinks is the best version of the movie. I doubt that I'd like it nearly as much as like the color version, but I'm sort of interested in seeing it. But I'm not gonna pay for a another bluray anytime soon.

reply

Just looked at it, could be interesting! Maybe they will release an ultimate edition on 4K!

reply

Why? It was a mess. Max was an incoherent, mumbling sidekick in a world where everyone else could speak normally. The plot is essentially "Let's all drive around in a circle for two hours". Then, at the end, Max walks away from five beautiful women whose lives he's saved on countless occasions. He walks away from water, from food, from shelter, to die in the dust - he knows there's nothing else out there. It made NO sense. This film is pretty, but that's just about all.

reply

Worse, the whole film would be the same if Max wasn't there! It's 100% Furiosa's story, he's just there as her sidekick and an entry character.

That said, the production design is totally awesome, as is Charlize Theron. It's a good-looking, fun movie, if you don't think about it too much. Because once you do, it all falls apart.

reply

This is one of those films that will probably have entire film school courses dedicated to it in the future.

reply

hahahaha

worst of the series, utter shit

reply

Such a clever criticism.

reply

darkpast being a moron as usual. I wonder what his mental disability is... Probably some kind of autism.

reply

Pretty sure that drugs are involved as well. Not GOOD drugs, which cost actual money. More like glue, and the meth that his daddy whips up in their trailer. Also, darkpast = darkfuture.

reply

Meh.
