I read this was based on a true story. Just wonderd if anyone know where this was based.
As for the film i thought it was really sad. I had sympathy for both sides. The kids that got bullied i mean everyone is the same were all human. But also for the bullies the way they was abused was just going to far.
Well, the movie was based in Texas (there's a reference to Texas early on and the cop who gets shot had a Texas flag on his uniform). That said I've lived in Texas all my life and nothing like this happened here. Based on a true story is a bit of a nebulous term. It can many anything from one tiny part of it really happened somewhere or somehow or all the way up to a pretty accurate retelling. In this case I suspect it's the former rather than the latter. I know, for example, there was a mob hitman called The Iceman (I think) who used to strap people to chairs and jab a screwdriver in the backs to paralyze them (kind of like what happened in this movie). Other than that none of it sounds familiar but who knows for sure?
