I haven't watched, should I? Does season one provide closure?

I really wanted to watch this show but it started to air during a two month road trip of mine. I was hoping to catch up with season one before the second season started, but now that it's canceled I'm wondering if I should still watch? Does the finale end with a cliff hanger or does the season provide enough closure to justify still watching? Thanks.

I actually think that the shows quality alone makes it worth watching it.

Yes I recommend it, there's plenty of closure. If you keep an open mind it'll all make sense.

im bumping this because i came here with the same question. now that the show has been canceled, should i bother to watch the first season?

reply

Absolutely!

The 'finale' ends with the important characters all acting as dumb as cows. In other words, it was just like all the other episodes. We were extended a measure of closure when AMC decided to stop kidding themselves.

They encourage it, when somebody knows what they're lookin' at.

It's funny kind of ending, no closure, I won't even calll it a cliff-hanger. The show was setting the scene for the next season, but unfortunately there won't be one.

It's frustrating, but do watch it, it's an interesting series. Or just watch the first episode and see it pique your interest. It made quite a few mistakes along the way, could have been so much better, and the ending unsatisfactory, but it's an intriguing journey.

Or just watch other series like Breaking Bad if you haven't seen it.

It's a very good series. The first season doesn't completely wrap things up but it largely does. By the end of the series Will knows who is behind the conspiracy and what their motives are (or at least what their motives seem to be). The second season would likely have detailed his attempt to bring them to justice. There's some details that weren't quite filled in but the season has enough closure that you're not left feeling like there's no ending.
