send AMC some 'love' via e-mail

what i sent-

I am a dedicated Rubicon fan, and I am deeply dissappointed that it was cancelled. Sure, it was not a ratings megahit, but neither was Mad Men in it's first season, and it is now considered the best show on television. I understand that to keep a network going it has to pull in ratings. I mean, AMC is a great network. It knows quality, unlike a lot of networks out there. I know that it wanted Rubicon to succeed, but in order for it to go on it does need ratings. However, I think AMC should have given it time to grow. Perhaps move Rubicon to the Spring season instead of the Fall season? While I was certainly skeptical about the show in the first couple of episodes, and it was perhaps a bit too slow, it kept getting better and better. It had great atmosphere, great writing, tension, and great characters and actors working in it. I am sure that a show like this could find the right audience, and even if it was not a super ratings hit, it could strengthen AMC's reputation. A network should care about ratings, but it should care more about striving in giving audiences that want good quality story-telling, as it is with Breaking Bad, Mad Men, and now The Walking Dead. And even if Rubicon really doesn't come back, I do not want to see AMC giving up ambition and giving more standard television fare just to win in the ratings. Rubicon was certainly a very ambitious show, and keeping it in the air would show what AMC truly cares about- quality, not quantity. I do not want to see shows like Rubicon disappear just because of ratings.

I appreciate your time in reading this and hope that you take this statement into consideration.

Really nicely said Red :)

I hope they still release season one on DVD. I think the show will win even more fans and become a cult favourite.

And they don't care.

Send a real letter, too. They have a hell of a lot more impact and meaning, as do phone calls.

DirecTV is also a possibility, as they often take on critically acclaimed and yet low ratings series. Here's the information I know of.

Why don't you all send registered letters, then at least you will now that they will read them for sure.

If you just send AMC a letter snail mail, they will think you just want an autographed picture of Don Draper!

Probably not enough fans to make a lick of difference, but if there were, flooding their offices with envelopes containing four leaf clovers would be awesome.

If I send them anything it'll be a suggestion that they shove this series and any other future series where the sun don't shine. Why would I want to kiss their ass after they cancel one of the best shows on television after only one season? The beauty of DVR and torrent is that I'll never watch another commercial on AMC. I hope the network fails and the executives rot.

Who am I kiddin' who am I foolin' when they be like "What's up Fatlip?" and I say "Coolin'."

I send AMC love letters regularly, complaining how the network sucks anymore! Movie classics my butt!
