something that didn't make sense to me, now left hanging

So, Will's father in law made the video with Rhumor leaving a message for Will and Rhumor's wife on the DVD. That means they were in contact and trading info and believing that they were both in danger of being murdered by the conspiracy before Rhumor killed himself, before Will discovered the crossword puzzle code that set off the story. So, why would Will's father in law go to Kale with Will's discovery of the crossword puzzle code? He had to already know from talking with Rhumor that his boss Truxton was part of the conspiracy. So why give Truxton a reason to kill him by reporting the code to Kale?

Perhaps Haddas was trying to point Kale toward the truth that Spengler was part of the conspiracy. Haddas's death probably had a similar effect on Kale as it did on Will, which is why Kale kept helping Will.

David wanted to confide in Kale and point him towards Spangler, much like what will did in letting Miles into the whole thing. However Kale was too straight laced to go along with David and instead sided with Spangler. Something that Spangler keeps reminding him about, that he is so trusting and patriotic. This ultimately gets David killed as Spangler knows just exactly how close he is to uncovering the truth. So Kale when he realises that what he did caused the death of his co worker and friend decided to use will as the lightning rod to finish where David left off, only this time Kale has chosen to side with truth over blind loyalty.

i got the impression that he thought that Will would take it further and put himself in danger so david took it further instead. (like jumping in front of someone and taking a bullet)

but some interesting ideas from Ezekiel

as for the other part of this thread... don't feed trolls

Because these morons are instructed by script to not talk to each other. They have to stick their business under motorcycle seats, and on Judy Garland DVDs.

That way, the slow-witted can claim they are watching something slow and subtle, rather than merely stooopid.

You're stupid. I don't know why you waste your time here?
It's not like it's funny, so it must be because you are actually stupid.

Actually, meldrone has posted some pretty insightful stuff on other threads, so the extreme trolling here has had me really perplexed for quite awhile. Others seem to think it's pretty funny, which isn't the typical reaction to trolls. I figure I must be missing something.

I agree that the code/hidden stuff was mostly dumb on this show. Especially glaring was the book code, where Will had to go through a huge rigmarole to figure out that he had been left a coded message and when it was translated all it said was something like "they're watching" without specifying who "they" are or what they are trying to do and what he wants Will to do about it.
