Yes, yes it is. It is like a combination of X-Files and just any kind of general normal spy type show, but with nice slice-of-life human story scenes as well. And it was INTELLIGENT and not super easily predictable. I remember hating AMC so bad for not renewing it, and hating The Walking Dead so bad because their extreme success doomed this show by comparison evidently. This show is the only reason I started becoming aware of the much more popular show on AMC, Breaking Bad. And while I enjoyed Breaking Bad, this show is actually MUCH better in quality. And The Walking Dead is... just trash. I don't understand popularity except to say "most people are dumb" but that just sounds elitist

Quite literally I will never understand what people see in the walking dead. Thus I would concur most people are just dumb and shows like this are canned. Take another gem, Limitless from 2015. One of the only shows I tuned into each week because it was fun, quirky, different and just an enjoyable show. Then you go read the threads on the boards for it and people are complaining over dumb stuff. Literally. Like "oh, he's not wearing a suit" "why is the humor different each week" "I wish it would grow up" and etc etc etc.

The fact that the suits in both shows or lack thereof, and the ending of the shows are very similar, well, maybe dumb average joe bloe wants to watch people in suits because he's secretly got a suit fetish. There's even a show called Suits. Maybe this is a conspiracy and they're on their way to come whack me because I now know, and you the reader, do too. Don't worry, just watch The Sopranos and you'll know how to deal with the Mob when they come a knockin... ;-p

I'm glad you said it was similar to The X-Files. In another thread on here talking about similar shows I said the same thing. High five!

Concur. I'm glad to see others who think Walking Dead is trash. I couldn't sit through 10 min of it and still can't believe they are on something likes season 9. WTF. Some of my friends even were into it and yet they complained there wasn't enough Zombie time..just sitting around talking....eye roll. I basically stopped watching AMCTV after Mad men ended and the other shows I didn't watch.

Definitely in my top 5 w/Mad Men up there. Nip Tuck seasons 1-2 were quite riveting, like Breaking Bad, but both shows eventually followed the same path with complete 180 role reversals of characters, which was totally just milking it and desperate.

Agree on everything. And yes, Walking dead? It's bader than bad.

Yes one of the best ever. Its parallels to real life were eerie.

And you just know when the lead character shows up at work off the subway carrying a book he's been reading on String Theory...it's gonna be good!

The casting and acting also was superb in all ways. All down, as well, to what had to be excellent directing.
