If this Movie is so great then why the limited Screenings?
Reality check, this film is based on a true & as of yet unsolved, ongoing multiple murder investigation just outside of Houston, Texas. You'd think that the city this true crime film takes place would rate as a location for which to open but sadly this isn't the case. For a movie that supposedly is gaining Oscar buzz it sure looks like a direct to video release to me, so what's up with that anyway? In fact why film this movie in neighboring small town Louisiana instead of the South Houston, League City, TX area in which the crimes took place? I do hope the film makers do justice to the films subject matter as the real crime victims deserve nothing less.
As with everything these days, time is slowly marching on and there are currently no promising leads ongoing in any of the cases. In fact the realization that the true killer or killers may get away with murder is starting to settle in with those directly effected by these sadistic crimes. All the reason for this film to do justice to the victims the justice system can't seem to provide!
