What was the blood (spoilers obviously)

What or who's was the blood on the seat of the car hidden in the garage? Was the blonde-haired tatooed guy a red herring, in that he had nothing to do with the killings? Interesting wee movie.

reply

Yeah, that whole thing was a loose end that wasn't tied up at all. I'd like to know what the significance of the blood and the car was.

reply

It was tied up. The blood belonged to the first victim, there was a line of dialogue about it. That's why they were staking out the garage because they were waiting for whoever came to get the car which would make them the killer of the girl.

reply

But that was the 2 pimps though? Are we to assume they killed "the first victim"?

reply

my take is that the blonde tattooed guy stole the car.
He was kind of a loose end....

since the other 2 were thought to be the 'killers'..

not a great movie, but it was worth the watch.
anything with Jessica Chastain is worth a watch.
but she was a minor player.

It was nice to see the girl live, though I thought she was going to live with the detective's wife.... surprising that the detective lived...that was a bit much...

I give it a 6

i was confused about all that too...i enjoyed the movie and it really had potential to be something great, to me it seemed like they were in a hurry when they were makin' the movie or somethin.

reply

As dykesy30 pointed out it was cleared up about the blonde guy and black guy, they had killed the first murdered girl from start of movie and were obviously going to be killing another when the cops tried ambushing them and they ended up on the car chase but that girl jumped out of the car mid way....the two that lived with and kidnapped Chloë Moretz were the killers of the other girls.
I think what the filming was trying to say as with the real life I45 murders is that it's not just one person doing it or a couple doing it but more then likely many killers, hence why the area is reffered to as the killing fields...a perfect dumping ground...as noted not many are killed there, just disposed of.
Well, that's just my take on it...

"There has to be, Someone killed"

reply

If the OP had simply listened to the dialogue he wouldn't have to post this thread. It was tied up, you just had to pay attention.

reply

Thats the way my bf and I saw the movie, that the point was there were more than one person killing people and dumping them in the fields.

reply

nah you have it twisted.

the first vic was found in public (NOT IN THE FIELDS) and the blood in the car belonged to her. The pimps were responsible for that.

All the other bodies were found in the killing fields were the 2 guys.

reply

oh fwiw OP I thought the movie made perfect sense and was well explained I just think people are under the assumption in these movies that the cops only work one case and all the killings were related. The bodies in the killing fields were the 2 guys, the first body in the the city was linked to the pimps and the blood in the car.

reply

I thought it was pretty clear the pimps killed the girl (the runaway) found at the beginning of the film and the other two killed all of the victims found in the fields.
