A pathetic abomination to film, and a disgrace to the victim's families

I first learned of these horrible murders by watching an episode of 48 Hours Mystery. Within that episode, they showed clips of Texas Killing Fields, so I was eager to see it after having learned so much about the history of these killings. On a side note, there is a quick cameo in the movie by one of the real detectives whom you will get to know well if you watch the 48 Hours episode.

I managed to watch the entire film, despite having my mind blown at how it failed on every level. Everything was disconnected and confusing. If someone had no previous knowledge of these killings, they would be none the wiser after having viewed this putrid fecal smear of a film. They would have no idea that there have been at least 30 murders spanning several decades, all unsolved. Instead this movie found it more important to show gratuitous shots of Sam Worthington flexing this jaw muscles. This movie was a chance for the spotlight to be shed onto these killings for the entire world, and it did no such thing. What a travesty.

Sam Worthington was the worst actor that could have ever been picked for his role. Not only was his accent a disgrace, (he couldn't even maintain it, especially during parts where he was angry), but he was clearly in love with himself, flexing his jaw muscles while trying to look like a hard ass through most of the film, all of this while mumbling incoherent nonsense. He comes across as such an arrogant, smug prick, which is nothing like the real detective he portrayed.

Directors Tom Mattera and Dave Mazzoni should be banned from ever being involved in film again. Their bowel movement disguised as this movie is unforgivable. Shame on the both of you, and everyone else involved in the making and publishing of this film.

All the bad aside, I thought about how the victim's families must have felt watching this disgrace. What a failure to their pain and the memory of ther loved ones that are now gone. Another IMDB board poster summed it up well by calling this film an "incoherent mess. " I couldn't have said it any better myself.

I never read anything about the real unsolved murders..I don t know the background..just see this movie with few lines of the the plot on my mind.. so.. I liked well done, expecially production desing and sound,so at the end my conclusion is probably in that rotten areas everybody can be a murderer.. I had the feeling of weird folks connected as be partner in murderes.. maybe having sex between cousins could be dangerous.
