R2 release sadly lacks Ami Mann's commentary

A word of warning for those (presumably a handful only - but this had always been a film closer to the art house than to a multiplex) possibly interested in obtaining it...

Since I had seen the film before the home release came out, I was primarily interested in hearing the commentary on the disc - and, as it turns out, the R2 release lacks any (in spite of early announcements). It seems that the track only made it onto the US version.

By the way, for those (once again, a handful) who have appreciated the "Fields", a recommended title might be Sean Penn's "The Pledge". It is a similarly moody, somber and tense procedural drama (similarly themed, too), but even more ambiguous and toned down. (1958's original "Es geschah am hellichten Tag", as well as its 1996 English remake/update "Cold Light of Day" are more than worth seeing, too).
