Did Worthington's character really answer a phone call on speaker while he and his partner were in the middle of interviewing a victim and her daughter? What kind of writing is this?

shareIs that the call they were talking about afterwards! Man I usually catch on to stuff but this had me pretty confused about the ohone call! The whole time I thought (bc it was during the interview!) that they were playing her 911 call repeatedly to see if they could here the guy speak! So then afterwards when they're takin about the ohone call I was super confused'! Thanks for clarifying that for me!
